Class Procedures
Academic Procedures:
Testing Time:
  1. Take out your #2 pencils
  2. Fill out the answer sheet with name on top and bubble on left.
  3. Begin taking the test as soon as you receive it.
  4. If finished early, sit quietly until everyone else has finished.
Seat work: When students are working independently at their desks.
  1. Have all necessary books, paper, pencils and other materials on your desk.
  2. Begin working on your assignment as soon as you receive it.
  3. No talking. Raise your hand to ask a question.
Group Work: When working cooperatively in small or large groups.
  1. Do not get your group off task.
  2. Contribute to the group by applying everything you have learned in class
  3. If a problem arises then raise your hand and contact the teacher.
Teaching time: When I am giving a direct lesson in front of the class.
  1. Eyes on me or on your paper.
  2. No taking while I am taking.
  3. Raise your hand and wait to be called upon to ask or answer a question. Do not shout out an answer.
Early Finishers: If a student finishes early then raise your hand and tell the teacher.
Home Learning: After the bellringer, home learning will be collected. Home learning is given every day and is not to be done in school.




Routine Procedures:
Entering the classroom:
  1. Pick up your file folder
  2. Read the bellringer on the agenda board and follow the directions
  3. Sit down
  4. Take out all necessary materials
  5. Copy your home learning
  6. Begin the bellringer
Hall Passes: Hall passes will not be given out the first and last 10 minutes of the class period. Students will be given three passes every nine weeks to use the bathroom or drink water.
Leaving Class: The teacher dismisses the class, not the bell. Student will walk when leaving the classroom and remember to take everything that is theirs with them.


Special Procedures:
Fire Drill: The teacher will dismiss the students, not the alarm.
  1. Students will walk out the doors slowly and calmly.
  2. Students will walk and stay together until they get to their assigned spot.
  3. Students will return with the class together.
Computer Time: When checking out laptops for class students must never change the desktop screen. Students will plug in the laptops into the correct numbers.
Sharpen Pencil: When a student needs to sharpen his or her pencil then they must raise their and ask the teacher.


Supplies:
Five Sharpened #2 pencils and loose leaf paper are required at all times. A three ringed binder or folder is also required. No permanent markers or white out are to be brought to class.
